Here are some of our past pups in their new homes
Tinker at 2 years old
We at Apex are very Proud of Tinker and the love she brings into the lives of the Patients she visits at Mercy

"She has had a big year. She was certified as a Canine Good Citizen in the summer and as a Therapy Dog in the fall. She works a couple of days a month at Mercy Regional Hospital in Durango visiting with patients. She's a big hit with the doctors and nurses as well as the patients." ..."She is a gorgeous dog. People are always commenting on how beautiful she is. She's very smart, too, and definitely rules this household. Dare I admit that she sleeps with us and puts her head on a pillow just like a human?! In the spring, summer, and fall she and I hike 6-8 miles a day. In the winter she runs along while I cross country ski. Wish I had a video of her. She loves to run through the deepest snow and throw it up in the air with her nose. We love her so much and thank you once again for letting us have her!"

Sophie-Roo at 5 months
.."I thought I would send you the latest photo of Sophie. This photo was taken a few weeks ago. This is one of Sophie's favorite spots in the Hedges. I have some more very silly photos of her in the hedges. I can not believe how fast she is growing. I have loved every moment, except the potty training. She is so smart and sweet. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful Doggie. She loves the water and will help herself when I am taking a shower, She comes right in. She loves the water hose and her toys to retrieve with. She has learned to sail onto the Bed and carries 2 toy bears in her mouth at the same time. She loves playing with Pearl Bailey. Their favorite game is chase. They both go out in the morning and run down the stairs and circle around and run up the stairs together. It is hilarious. They share water bowls and I have caught Pearl Bailey having a little snack with Sophie's food. Sophie does not mind. Pearl even wants to go on walks with us. Nobody can resist coming over to say Hi and she loves everybody. This week we had her neutered and all went well"...
Thanks again
Talk to you soon.

(no worries the wine glass was empty)
Hi Noelle,
"Oh my gosh, how could we have ever left out Bodie in our story? When he finds out he'll be furious! I was just sending out a quick message to our friends. The whole night long, while we were running around picking out things to bring for when we evacuated from the fire, Bodie wanted to play! He brought his toys, one at a time, to us, to tempt us to play. When we finally got to our destination (Costco Parking Lot at 4.00. A.M.) in the RV. Bodie decided that the couch was going to be his. Andy, our son, had to push him to the side, to make a little room for himself to catch at least a nap. He woke later with Bodie sharing his pillow, and his hot breath blowing in Andy's face. Bodie was sound asleep and Andy didn't have the heart to push him away again. He's a love magnet. Bodie couldn't have cared any less about the fire...as long as he had a toy in his mouth and a scratch behind his ears."

Cinder at 1 year
"Hi Noelle: How are you doing? Hope you got my first email. Life with Cinder is a sheer joy. I'm staying with Lorie for this first week, while she helps me get into a routine with her. Like Tinker, she's been as good as gold. I always thought that's where the expression should have come from. She's a little pixie, so curious about the world around her and such a darling personality. At night she sleeps in a crate attached to the pen which is in the middle of Lorie's living/dining room area...twice now she has managed to climb up onto the crate which is probably 24" and get out. Both times, luckily, she's come padding into the guest room wanting to share her achievement. It's been hard to put her back, but I know that's what you want us to do. She's very into chewing just about everything in sight...and generally appears to be a happy little camper. I keep wondering how much she's missing Opal and you and Allie and her sisters and brother and hoping it's not too bad by this point. We put the last rubbed towel in her crate last night. There's no way to express just how much I love her! It's obvious that Lorie's smitten too. No surprise to you, I'm sure. How is Little Opal? I've really been thinking about you and trusting that the separation anxiety hasn't been too awful for all of you. "
More later. Karin
